THE ART: After practicing yoga for a couple of years, the artist came across the meaning of Namaste from one of her teachers. The teacher said the traditional 'Namaste' after class... and then "The light in me, sees the light in you. The God in me, sees the God in you. The beauty in me, sees the beauty in you." Kristina wanted to create a piece that exemplified the gentle awesomeness and power that these few words mean. She creatively took photographs of vibrant gems, gold hexagon flecks, led lights out of focus, coloured brushstrokes... and created this series! The quote is written in white on the back of the right knee - purposely placed so the viewer behind sees the reflected intention of the wearer.
